TribeVibe, Inc.’s Privacy Policy

TRIBEVIBE, Inc. (“TribeVibe”) takes the private nature of your personal information very seriously.  The overall purpose of this privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) is to advise  what type of personal information TribeVibe collects about you as a result of your use of TribeVibe’s website, if any, and describe the limited purposes for which TribeVibe uses, processes, and shares that information.  It is TribeVibe’s policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our websites.

1. TribeVibe’s Customer Information

Like most website operators, TribeVibe collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. TribeVibe’s  purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how TribeVibe visitors use its website. TribeVibe may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.

TribeVibe also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. TribeVibe does not use such information to identify its visitors, however, and does not disclose such information, other than under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information, as described below. Please be aware that TribeVibe cannot be responsible for the privacy practices of other sites, including those to which we link, advertisers, or whose products or services we reference.

2. Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information

Certain visitors to TribeVibe’s websites choose to interact with TribeVibe in ways that require TribeVibe to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that TribeVibe gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who register for an account at TribeVibe to provide certain personal information, which include, but is not limited to, a username, password and an email address. Those who engage in transactions with TribeVibe are asked to provide additional information, including as necessary the personal and financial information required to process those transactions, such as name, postal address, e-mail, PayPal account, and credit card details.  In each case, TribeVibe collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with TribeVibe. TribeVibe is the sole owner of the information collected through TribeVibe’s site and does not disclose personally-identifying information to a third party other unless to the extent and for the purposes as specified by this Privacy Policy.  Visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.

3. Aggregated Statistics

TribeVibe will collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its websites. For instance, TribeVibe may monitor the most popular links on the site. TribeVibe may display this information publicly or provide it to others. These aggregated statistics undertaken by the TribeVibe tool feature details of public conversations undertaken in various social media entities.  It does not include private conversations, eg: Twitter DMs.

4. Disclosure of Certain Personally-Identifying Information

TribeVibe discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on TribeVibe’s behalf or to provide services available at TribeVibe’s site, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using TribeVibe’s site, you consent to the transfer of such information to them. TribeVibe will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone. Other than to its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations, as described above, TribeVibe discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only when required to do so by law, or when TribeVibe believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of TribeVibe, third parties or the public at large. If TribeVibe or any of its products is sold to a new owner, whether by merger, stock sale, asset sale or other means, we retain the right to transfer your profile, site data and all other content, data and information to this new owner, provided the owner agrees to respect the Privacy Policy in effect with respect to this personal data.  

If you are a registered user of TribeVibe’s site and have supplied your email address, TribeVibe may occasionally send you an email to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what’s going on with TribeVibe and our products. We primarily use our various product blogs to communicate this type of information, so we expect to keep this type of email to a minimum. If you send us a request (for example via a support email or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it in order to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users. 

5. Security of Personally-Identifying Information

TribeVibe has implemented appropriate and reasonable security measures in order to protect your personally-identifying information, including but not limited to appropriate technical measures intended to protect your personally-identifying information from misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure and alteration.  In addition, if you have been provided with a password in order to access your account, certain forums, centers and/or communities at TribeVibe’s sites you are responsible for keeping that password confidential and you should not to reveal that password to any third party.   

6. Cookies

A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. TribeVibe uses cookies to help TribeVibe identify and track visitors, their usage of TribeVibe sites, and their website access preferences.  Cookies do not provide TribeVibe with any personally-identifying information, however, if you provide TribeVibe with personally-identifying information through the TribeVibe sites or elsewhere, such personally-identifying information may be linked to the data stored in the Cookie. TribeVibe may use Cookies to personalize your experience at the TribeVibe sites (e.g. to recognize you by name when you return to our site or to remember at your request user name and/or password for certain user accounts). TribeVibe may further use Cookies to create personalized offers for products and/or services.

TribeVibe’s visitors who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies before using TribeVibe’s sites, with the drawback that certain features of TribeVibe sites may not function properly without the aid of cookies.

7. Privacy Policy Changes

Although most changes are likely to be minor, TribeVibe may change its Privacy Policy from time to time, and in TribeVibe’s sole discretion. TribeVibe encourages visitors to frequently check this page for any changes to its Privacy Policy. Your continued use of this site after any change in this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such change.
